I have just recieved a conformation E-mail stating that my may Birchbox has been shipped. This month birchbox is teaming up with gossip girl, “to bring you a blockbuster collection of products inspired by the series and New York’s most fabulous events.”
I am really hopeful and excited for this box since I didnt really care for last months. Fingers crossed it is a good one!
So… May Birchbox… Lets just say that I am officially not getting any more of these. I was hoping that birchbox has improved since the last time I got their boxes but I have to say that I was really let down again.
The theme for this month was gossip girl but nothing in this box was gossip worthy.

Arquiste | L’etrog
I am not too fond of receiving fragrances because I am very picky. I was not impressed by this scent and it was too strong and mature for me.
Beautyblender | Blender Cleanser
It is a good thing I actually own beauty blenders or else this sample would have been a waste. In all reality, it is just okay. Soap and water works fine enough for me.
Color Club | Nail polish in Disco Nap
Finally! One decent product! i really enjoy this color and the finish of this polish. It goes on smoothly with bold reflective color. It is part of a collection called Foiled.
Dr. Jart + | Waterfuse BB cream
When i got my box and i saw i got this product i was excited so I checked it out right away. I saw the little tube of it and was upset it was so small but figured that it is expensive so this sample is worth something. I then tried to squeeze some product out and the tube was mostly air. Maybe there were two uses at most in that entire tube. I actually tried it out this morning and it gave good coverage and a nice finish but broke down on my skin and made it really oily by the end of the day. Another disappointment for me.
I forgot to take a picture of the birchbox extra but it was a twistband head band. There is nothing that special just a piece of black elastic but it is pretty convenient to have on my wrist and doesn’t cut my circulation off like hair ties do
And last is a little note card and envolope, guess i can use it for the next birthday :/
I have not done any calculation to figure out the worth of the box but I really dont have to, to figure out that the box is not worth the ten dollars i paid for it.
I am saying bye to birchbox once again until I see that they do something better with their service.
Instead I created a subscription to GLOSSYBOX which is 11 dollars more expensive. It is $21 a month but it seems so much more with it. Larger more luxurious samples sounds good to me. They just opened a branch of the company to the US I would get on it fast before it sells out!
